John Clavell and James Hind, both infamous highwaymen, rode the coaching routes of England’s south west, stopping at inns and public houses to quench their appetites, rest and plot. Inspired by the bold spirit of these historic highwaymen, Birdlip based brewery Clavell & Hind approaches brewing in an innovative, ambitious manner – in technique, recipes and beer styles. Putting a premium on quality and consistency, the brewery takes inspiration from the traditional and interprets each beer in a unique and distinctive style.

The beers are highly drinkable, full flavoured and balanced and we’re looking forward to featuring them through the month. Look out for beers such as Blunderbuss, Rook Wood and Wicked Lady. Our £3 pint for October is Coachman a 3.8% Golden Ale.
